Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square) and the Nassau County Traffic Safety Board will be conducting a car seat safety check to inform parents of the proper installation and care of car seats. This free event will be held Thursday, May 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Albertson Fire Department, 100 I U Willets Road in Albertson.

“It is essential that all parents and drivers of small children know how to properly install a car seat into their vehicle,” said Ra. “I encourage all individuals who are responsible for driving small children to join us for this informational event to ensure the safety of their young passengers.”

Parents are required to make an appointment and must bring their car seat to the event. Those interested in participating in this free service should call Assemblyman Ra’s district office at (516) 535-4095, or email rae@assembly.state.ny.us to reserve a time slot.
