On Saturday, September 26, Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square) hosted his 2015 Women of Distinction Ceremony. The event, which took place at the Albertson VFW Post 5253, honored women from across the 19th Assembly District for their unwavering commitment to improving their communities, families and careers.
“This annual event provides me with an opportunity to show my genuine appreciation for the women who strive to make our community a better place to live,” said Ra. “I am pleased to honor the women who have made great contributions to our community as dedicated leaders, entrepreneurs, educators and advocates. Each of these women has gone above and beyond to help our communities grow and flourish.”
This year’s distinguished honorees included Linda Babolcsay (Franklin Square), Michelle Kaiserman (Garden City), Nina McCann (Williston Park), Christine Mullaney (Garden City), Susan Quigley (Garden City), Angie Ruhry (Garden City), Antonietta Scarapicchia (Floral Park), Gina Serroen (Glen Head), Diana Tjaden (Garden City), and Theresa Trouvé (Garden City).
