Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square) welcomes residents to join him for an Identity Theft Seminar on Thursday, April 21 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the West Hempstead Library (500 Hempstead Avenue, West Hempstead). The event will help individuals learn their rights and find out how to avoid becoming victims of scams and identity theft.

Nassau County Office of Consumer Affairs representative Kenneth Heino will join Ra to provide tips on how to become vigilant and protected.

“It’s critical that people know how to protect themselves from identity theft, fraud and scams,” said Ra. “As technology continues to advance and access to our personal information is available at our fingertips, it is important that we don’t let our guard down. I hope this seminar will provide residents in our community with the information they need to avoid becoming victims.”
