Ra Welcomes Girl Scout Troop 1257 to The Capitol
On Monday, May 23, Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square) welcomed Girl Scout Troop 1257 of Franklin Square-West Hempstead to Albany. Ra provided the 13 Girl Scouts, their parents, grandparents and siblings with a personal tour of the Capitol, including the Assembly and Senate Chambers. Sens. Hannon and Martins met with the visitors as well.
Ra also had the privilege of recognizing Troop 1257 on the Assembly floor for their dedicated work on the “Adopt the Pike’ project, an effort to clean up litter and other debris along the Hempstead Turnpike.
“I was pleased to have had the opportunity to show members of Troop 1257 and their families around the Capitol earlier this week,” said Ra. “These girls have demonstrated great dedication to service projects that have helped make the Franklin Square community a more beautiful place to live. Congratulations to them all for their recent Bronze Awards, and I wish them all the best in the future.”
