Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square) will host his annual free barbecue for veterans on Thursday, August 11 from 3 p.m to 5 p.m. The event will be held at VFW Post 2718, at 68 Lincoln Road in Franklin Square.

“This event means a great deal to me,” said Ra. “Our veterans have given us so much through their tremendous sacrifices. This is an opportunity for us to give back and show our heroes how much love and respect this community has for them and their service.”

Ra will be joined by the the Nassau County Veterans Service Agency, which will provide counseling for those in need. Members of the Veterans ID Program and Northport VA will also be in attendance to discuss various program benefits for veterans and their families. Catering will be provided by The Coral House.
