Ra Calls for Strengthening New York’s Education System and Providing Living Wages for Direct Care Workers
A statement from Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square)
January 3, 2018
“With 2018 anticipated to be a difficult budget year, the needs of New Yorkers, such as property tax relief, investing in our public transportation systems and infrastructure and providing a living wage for direct-care workers, should be prioritized over special interests such as Hollywood tax credits and economic programs that have repeatedly failed. Additionally, education is a crucial aspect of a state’s success, because without a strong education system people cannot be the best they can be in their field. Fixing our flawed teacher evaluation system would be a step in the right direction toward strengthening education in New York.”
