Ra Starts Fifth Term Reappointed to Leadership Position
Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square) is excited to announce he has been re-appointed Assistant Minority Leader Pro Tempore as he begins his fifth term as representative for the 19th Assembly District this January. He has also been appointed ranking Minority member on the Codes Committee and re-appointed to the Education and Health Committees.
With one party rule coming to Albany, it is more important than ever for state representatives to speak up for their districts, said Ra. I became a member of the Assembly to be a voice for Long Island and to protect the affordability of our communities and our way of life. I am eager to start the new legislative session to continue the fight for a better New York for us all.
As Assistant Minority Leader Pro Tempore, Ra promises to continue to ensure the voices of Long Islands taxpayers are heard in Albany. Education will remain a focus for Ra, who will fight for teacher evaluations that utilize true measures of learning and fair funding within our schools.
