Recently, Assemblyman Ed Ra (R,C,I-Franklin Square) sponsored a Car Seat Safety Check for the families of Cathedral Nursery School in Garden City. He partnered with Nassau County Traffic Safety Coordinator Christopher M. Mistron to make the event a real success. Over a dozen vehicles were inspected rigorously. All but one required adjustments to the car seats.

“There’s nothing more important than keeping our kids safe. Car seat safety checks are a simple way to save lives. I’m pleased that the event was a success, and I’m grateful to Christopher Mistron and Nassau County for partnering with us. I’m so glad that Cathedral Nursery School Director Diane Cina and all of the great parents we met today are so committed to going the extra mile for these kids,” said Ra.

“It was such a benefit to our parents to have the child car seat safety check here at our school. Many of our parents, because of work and family commitments, do not have the opportunity to avail themselves of this important service. Knowing, as a parent and early childhood educator, that the safety of our children takes priority, we are most grateful to Assemblyman Ed Ra and his knowledgeable team for providing this invaluable service,” said Cina.
