“Today, we took decisive, bipartisan action to protect the economic security of patients fighting the coronavirus. They’re doing the right thing by quarantining, and we need to do right by them while they’re out of work. It’s as simple as that. We’re all New Yorkers. We’re all in this together.

“My hope is that our ongoing budget negotiations can be similarly focused and bipartisan. I want to reiterate that we should fund the government, fund a robust coronavirus response, and reconvene to discuss controversial political issues after we’ve gotten through this together,” said Ra.
