This week, Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square) partnered with the Village of Mineola and the New York Blood Center to host a needed community blood drive at the Mineola Community Center.

“I want to thank everyone who came out to help their neighbors and address an urgent public health need. The last few months have shown us that we never know what’s going to happen. With the New York Blood Center having declared a blood emergency, helping our hospitals meet this critical need means saving lives,” said Ra.

There were 54 total donations, a quantity that can save up to 162 lives.
