End the State of Emergency

A Statement By Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square)

Restaurants and bars humming. Concerts singing. 12,000 people rocking The Barn for Islanders playoff hockey. We’re asking the Majority members to join us in repealing a state of emergency declaration that only exists because the administration has trouble letting go of things it can control. Our local health departments, local school districts and municipal governments are fully qualified to make determinations on issues ranging from face masks in schools to occupancy limits at events. It’s time to restore normal order in government and in everyday life.”
