“Any optimism I had that New York was preparing to turn itself around from the fiscal irresponsibility of its past was dashed after hearing our governor’s official budget proposal. I’m never one to immediately shut down conversations about boosting aid, especially in cases of schools and seniors, but I cannot in good conscience endorse a budget wish list that asks to spend so much taxpayer money on programs that are bleeding this state dry and driving people away. It’s fiscal irresponsibility at its most obvious.”
