“I am deeply disturbed and concerned about the legislation the Assembly Majority have slammed down our throats the past two days, which puts our families and communities in jeopardy of being victimized by violent criminals and hinders law enforcement’s ability to do its job.

“We are essentially opening the door for rapists, murderers, drug traffickers and serial recidivists to abuse our family court system and more quickly reenter society. We have plenty of programs to rehabilitate young adults and I think we should focus on the effectiveness of those programs instead of taking the dangerous step we took today.”
