Brabenec Announces Hundreds of Thousands in Grants To Local Libraries
Assemblyman Karl Brabenec (R,TCN-Deerpark) today proudly announced that three local libraries, The Albert Wisner Public Library in Warwick, The Port Jervis Free Library and the Tuxedo Park Library will together receive over $175,000 in grant funding to conduct various projects at their facilities and upgrade services. The projects include building more parking spaces, including handicap accessible areas, and renovating restrooms.
“These libraries are tremendous pillars of our community,” Brabenec said. “I am excited to see these projects come to fruition, as they will undoubtedly attract more patrons and strengthen the bond between local residents and the library community. Libraries are uniquely far-reaching institutions that bridge socio-economic gaps and serve everyone from college students to young children eager to explore the vast and exiting world that reading has to offer. I pledge my continued support to our local libraries and will continue to advocate on their behalf during my time in the Assembly.”
