Statement on Case of Missing Woman Destini Smothers in Queens
Queens – Assembly Member Khaleel M. Anderson issued the following statement regarding the case of Destini Smothers, a missing 26-year-old woman from Troy, New York last seen in Queens:
“Today, December 4th, marks over a month since Destini Smothers was last seen at the Bowlero Bowling Alley located at 69-10 34th Avenue and McDonald’s at 51-35 Northern Boulevard in Queens, New York between the hours of 11PM-1AM on November 3, 2020.
“Each day awaiting information about Ms. Smother’s location has been agonizing for her loved ones. I am very saddened to learn of slow-moving bureaucratic processes in Troy New York, where Ms. Smothers lives. This has created difficulties for Ms. Smothers’ family during their search here in Queens, where she was last seen. We are hoping for a positive result to this case and want Ms. Smothers found safely as quickly as possible.”
