“National Guard members make significant sacrifices to perform their duties and keep our families safe. Like all those who serve in the U.S. armed forces, Guard members and their families deserve access to the resources they need to thrive. To that end, I introduced and passed legislation earlier today that would require the New York State Division of Military and Naval Affairs to make state and federal benefit information available to National Guard members (A.5832-A).

“There are many challenges that Guard members and families face, and it’s critical that we extend support to as many military families as we can. As a member of the Assembly Veterans’ Affairs Committee and daughter of a veteran, I’ll always do everything I can to uplift and support the brave men and women who serve our nation and its ideals.”
