Yesterday, Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon (D-Marcy) finished holding her mobile office hours. Throughout the week, she has held mobile office hours at the Capitol Theatre, the Whitesboro Fire Department, and Giotto Center Community Health and Behavioral Center, as well as virtually through Zoom.

“Hearing directly from my constituents helps me represent and advocate for them in the New York State Assembly. Among the many topics discussed this week, my constituents voiced to me that we need to do more to combat the opioid epidemic in New York State and close illicit cannabis shops. They also stressed to me the importance of investing more in our infrastructure and local roads," said Assemblywoman Buttenschon. "As my colleagues and I continue to negotiate the upcoming State Budget, I will advocate for solutions to these issues on their behalf."

In addition to discussing these issues, Assemblywoman Buttenschon talked to her constituents about the 75 pieces of legislation she has sponsored, the over 315 pieces of legislation she has co-sponsored, the 33 resolutions she has passed, and the funding secured for the district.

So far this year, Assemblywoman Buttenschon has secured over $1.6 million for fire departments, $443,000 for our police, $150,000 for emergency services, over $3.8 million for community centers, and over $2.9 million for municipalities.

"My top priority is to ensure my constituents feel their voices are heard and are able to talk to me about what matters most. I am proud that so far this year, my office has helped over 600 constituents and I have participated in over 100 events in the district," said Buttenschon.
