Assemblywoman Buttenschon Discusses Concerns with Whitestown Residents
Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon (D-Utica) hosted a Town Hall Session last night (Monday, April 15, 2019) at the Whitestown Town Hall. The event started with a legislative update and update on the recently approved New York State Budget. Community members were then able to ask questions or address issues of concern to them.
Topics discussed were the industrial hemp initiative, AARP, and Spectrum Cable/Internet Service. Also discussed was the proposed legislation allowing optometrists to prescribe oral medication for patients, and expressing concern over optometrists who study out of state being required to complete their shadowing out of state. Lastly, a discussion ensued about the flooding that has taken place in Whitestown and Whitesboro, with additional updates being given by other local officials in attendance.

- Tuesday, April 16th - 5:30 pm at the Floyd Town Hall - 8299 Old Floyd Road, Rome
- Wednesday, April 17th - 5:30 pm at Utica City Hall, Common Council Chambers - 1 Kennedy Plaza, Utica
- Thursday, April 18th - 5:30 pm at the New York Mills Village Hall - 1 Maple Street
