Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon (D-Utica/Rome) announced that she is seeking nominations for her 2020 Nursing Recognition Awards.

“As the ongoing public health crisis has made clear, it’s more important than ever to recognize the crucial work provided by our health care professionals,” said Buttenschon. “These awards celebrate the hardworking nurses right here in the Mohawk Valley who have put their lives on the line to provide our community with the best care possible. The dedication, skill and tireless commitment that they have shown during this crisis is nothing short of heroic and their remarkable contributions deserve to be recognized.”

Assemblywoman Buttenschon is encouraging residents of the 119^th Assembly District to nominate nurses that have had an especially positive impact on the Mohawk Valley. All entries must include the nominee’s name, workplace and a brief sentence on why he or she has been chosen. Those interested in nominating a nurse should submit their nominations at nyassembly.gov/mem/Marianne-Buttenschon or send their submissions to buttenschonm@nyassembly.gov by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12.
