Assemblywoman Buttenschon Attends Briefing in Support of New York Dairy Farmers
“Recently, I had the opportunity to attend the Dairy Day Legislative Briefing with the Northeast Dairy Foods Association and the New York Farm Bureau. The briefing showcased the best of New York’s dairy industry and its products and featured speeches from representatives of these fine organizations. This past year has been especially difficult for our dairy farmers, and Dairy Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and appreciate the hard work they do to help fuel our state economy.
“In addition to attending this briefing, I also recently attended a Future Farmers of America convention similarly designed to showcase the hard work and talent of New York’s farmers as well as encourage young, aspiring farmers to follow their dreams. Furthermore, I recently passed resolutions designating June 2021 as Dairy Month and July 2021 as Ice Cream Month in the State of New York. After such a difficult and taxing year for our farmers, I’m determined to do all I can to help them get back on their feet and show everyone how vital their products are to our lives and the economy.”
