Smullen Announces Women of Distinction In Fulton and Montgomery Counties
Assemblyman Robert Smullen (R,C-Mohawk Valley and the Adirondacks) was proud to present citations to this year’s remarkable Women of Distinction in Fulton and Montgomery counties. The Women of Distinction Program provides a means for counties to nominate and recognize hard-working women in our communities.
“I was very pleased our Johnstown office received numerous nominations for this year’s Women of Distinction awards,” said Smullen. “Honoring the accomplishments and selflessness of the incredible women in our counties is an important tradition I am happy to be a part of.”
This year’s Women of Distinction in Fulton and Montgomery counties include Sandra Maceyka, Debra Finkle and DiAnne Mott of Fulton County as well as Janine Dykeman of Montgomery County.
Sandra Maceyka plays a very active role in her community as a Founding Member of the Elizabeth Cady Stanton’s Women’s Consortium as well as a Member of Schine Memorial Hall LLC, the American Association of University Women, the Fulton County Community College Foundation and Soroptimist International of Fulton and Montgomery Counties.
When Debra Finkle isn’t busy spending time with friends and family or assisting elderly neighbors, she rushes off to fight fires with the Berkshire Volunteer Fire Department, ring bells for the Salvation Army and volunteer at Hadassah’s Craft Fair and Soroptimist International of Fulton and Montgomery Counties.
DiAnne Mott is a retired Music Director who worked at the Oppenheim-Ephratah School District, she is beloved by her students whom she guided to win many awards for marching band. She now works as a Manager at a code blue shelter in Gloversville for the homeless.

I look forward to seeing the amazing work these women continue to do down the road, and I look forward to honoring many more deserving women next year,” concluded Smullen.
