“The State Assembly Majority lawmakers barely passed another extension of the eviction moratorium last night, even after the Supreme Court has indicated that it is not constitutional. Small landlords will continue to suffer, thanks to an ineffective state application process for Federal rent funds and continued abuse of the system by bad actors that won’t pay rent under the guise of hardship caused by the pandemic. State management of this issue is broken, but the solution for state Majority was to extend the problem until January.”
