Swift Action After Elba Bank Robbery
Letter to the Editor:
The combined efforts of several law enforcement agencies on the morning of June 18 in the Village of Elba led to the swift apprehension of three armed and dangerous bank robbers. The fleeing suspects were first tracked by the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department and the New York State Police immediately after the robbery took place. Within a short period of time, a number of other law enforcement agencies arrived to assist in the pursuit. These agencies include: Batavia City Police, New York Sate Park Police, United States Border Patrol, Erie County Sheriff’s Department (helicopter) and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (ATVs).
The aforementioned agencies are truly admirable for their seamless efforts to serve and protect our community. On behalf of the 139th District of the New York State Assembly, I would like to thank all involved in the suspects’ apprehension. The community you serve is incredibly grateful to have such exceptional law enforcement agencies.
