Assemblyman Hawley Meets With Dean of Military Academy
Assemblyman Steve Hawley (R,I,C-Batavia) was honored to meet with United States Military Academy Dean of the Academic Board Brigadier General Timothy Trainor in conjunction with this year’s West Point Day at the state Capitol. Hawley, a devout supporter of the Armed Forces and member of the Assembly Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, thanked the General for his service and his role in training another generation of soldiers. Trainor was accompanied by a group of cadets currently enrolled at the Academy.
“As a person who comes from a family with a rich military tradition and works every day to honor our veterans, it was thrilling to have met General Trainor, a man that plays an important role in preparing our next generation of American heroes,” said Hawley. “General Trainor and his cadets are working toward protecting our nation’s rich history of free enterprise and the litany of freedoms that we all enjoy, and to speak with these brave men and women was truly an honor.”
