Assemblyman Steve Hawley (R,I,C-Batavia) recently joined New York State Agriculture Commissioner Darrel Aubertine, New York Farm Bureau (NYFB) President Dean Norton and farm advocates from across the state at the NYFB’s annual legislative reception at the Capitol. Hawley, a member and past president of the Farm Bureau as well as a member of the Assembly Committee on Agriculture, sampled New York-grown products and met with agriculture officials to discuss preserving and promoting the industry.

“Farming isn’t just a prime job creator in our community, it’s a way of life,” said Hawley. “Western New York’s economy relies on the success of the agricultural industry, and I am proud to stand with the New York Farm Bureau to make sure our farmers have the tools they need to continue the proud traditions our families have carried on for generations.”
