“Governor Cuomo’s $2.5 billion Clean Water Infrastructure Act of 2017 expanded New York’s commitment to water quality to a level unparalleled in the nation. I am very pleased that grant funding in this round is going to Sound Shore communities in Westchester County like New Rochelle, which submitted a joint application with Larchmont, the Town of Mamaroneck and Pelham and the Village of Port Chester which will receive an individual grant towards their ongoing work.”

Assemblyman Otis of Rye and Assemblyman John McDonald of Cohoes, both former mayors, helped initiate the new municipal grant program in 2015 and have worked with Governor Cuomo and the Assembly to expand funding for municipal and inter-municipal grants as part of the Governor’s $2.5 billion initiative this year. The New Rochelle led joint application was awarded $5,720,000. The Village of Port Chester will receive $468,837.
