The Council of Community Services of Port Chester, Town of Rye, Rye Brook Awarded $5,000 Grant from NYS

CCS Compiles New Directory of Community Services

Port Chester, NY – The Council of Community Services of Port Chester, Town of Rye & Rye Brook (CCS) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring together community leaders to assess and meet the vital needs of the community by identifying and working towards solutions through mobilization, advocacy, and networking.

New York State has awarded the Council a $5,000 grant which will be used to compile the 2018 Directory of Community Services for 10573.

“The directory will provide a vital resource for the Port Chester, Town of Rye and Rye Brook communities by providing access to information on essential programs, services and opportunities for its residents. I am pleased that we were able to identify state funding to assist the Council of Community Services with this important directory and their work in getting information to residents,” stated Assemblyman Otis.

This Directory will provide a comprehensive listing of not-for-profit, government and proprietary organizations that offer a variety of services to the people of the Port Chester, Town of Rye and Rye Brook communities. It will be available in both English and Spanish.

    When completed the Directory will be available in 3 formats:

  • On-line via the Councils website: www.council10573.com
  • A comprehensive book that will be distributed to community professionals
  • A service specific tri-fold brochure that will be distributed and made available to the general public.

The state grant was made possible through the New York State Office of Children and Family Services with the assistance of State Assemblyman Steve Otis who represents the 91st Assembly District in Westchester County, which includes the Sound Shore communities of Larchmont, Mamaroneck, New Rochelle, Port Chester, Rye and Rye Brook.
