“With the announcement of the 2018 round of clean water infrastructure grants Governor Cuomo continues New York’s leadership role in the nation in commitment to supporting clean water funding,” Assemblyman Steve Otis said.

The village of Port Chester will receive a $316,250 grant and the City of Rye was awarded $489,750 in funding. Westchester County will receive a $1,228,349 grant. Westchester projects were awarded $10.7 million in projects out of $49 million awarded to the mid-Hudson region.

This is the fourth year of funding for the Water Infrastructure Improvement Act which Assemblyman Otis helped initiate in 2015. Governor Cuomo and the Assembly have expanded the size and scope of the program which will have awarded over $750 million in grants to date to make clean water projects more affordable for local governments and taxpayers. The program is administered through the NYS Environmental Facilities Corporation (EFC) in conjunction with the state departments of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and Health (DOH).
