Assemblyman Stirpe Passes Bill to Help Promote the NYS Job Bank, Strengthen State Workforce
Assemblyman Al Stirpe (D-Cicero) announced that he sponsored and helped pass legislation that requires the New York State Department of Labor (DOL) to implement a public awareness campaign to promote the New York State Job Bank (A.8458-A).
“As chair of the Assembly Small Business Committee, I’m focused on making it easier for workers to find job opportunities that align with their interests and skills so we can create a thriving workforce,” Stirpe said. “In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, helping local businesses recruit and retain workers is vital to our state’s recovery. This bill will help raise awareness of the NYS Job Bank and further expand access to employment. I want to thank Senator Anna Kaplan for carrying this bill in the Senate.”
