Assemblyman Stirpe's Pet Supplies Drive

This holiday season, Assemblyman Al Stirpe invites residents to get in the giving spirit by participating in the first annual Pet Supplies Drive.

Community members are encouraged to donate dog food, cat food and other pet supplies off the wish lists below to help support local animal shelters and organizations. The drive is hosted in partnership with Helping Hounds, the Kia Foundation, Humane CNY, Ted and Amy’s 93Q Christmas Spectacular, Amazon and Country Max.

Donations will be accepted until December 22 at the following drop-off locations:

The following donation lists include the animal food and supplies that each organization is seeking to help stock their pet shelter shelves this winter:

Humane CNY donation list:

•Sheets, comforters and towels

•Purina One Sensitive Skin & Stomach Dry Cat Food and Patè Style

•Wet food

•Hand soap, bleach, window cleaner and laundry detergent

•Paper towels, toilet paper and 30-gallon or larger garbage bags

•Postage stamps

•Non-clumping cat litter

Helping Hounds donation list:

•Dry dog food (adult, puppy and small bites)

•Canned dog food

•Martingale/no-slip collars (all sizes)

•6’ leashes

•Paper towels

•Swiffer duster refills

•Swiffer wet sweeper refills

•Dishwasher pods

•3M Doodlebug scrub pads

Kia Foundation donation list*:

•Dry cat food

•Dry dog food

•Special diet and grain-free dog and cat food

•Other items include bedding, toys, leashes, collars

*Will accept opened/damaged bags of dry cat/dog food

*Will accept gently used dog and cat accessories

Assemblyman Stirpe said, “Our pets give us unconditional love all year round. Let’s make sure they have the food and supplies they need to stay warm and healthy this winter!”
