Assemblyman Stirpe: CNY Named REDC ‘Top Performer’
“Today’s announcement that Central New York has been awarded $80.2 million for economic development builds upon critical funding and allows us to continue investing in core industry sectors like manufacturing. Since the awards began in 2011, the Central New York Regional Economic Development Council (REDC) has delivered $264.4 million for 226 projects to our region.
“I applaud Central New York’s REDC team for their hard work in creating a robust blueprint for our economic future and helping our region earn ‘top performer’ status. As we move forward, I am committed to working with the governor and the legislature to spur more local job creation and ensure Central New York receives the necessary resources to help our region succeed and thrive in the new economy.”
