In honor of Women’s History month, Assemblyman Al Stirpe (D-Cicero) will be holding his 5th annual Women of Distinction Awards ceremony. Five local women will be honored for their contributions in the following categories: community activism, volunteerism, education, civic affairs, and global advocacy. Assemblyman Stirpe will also congratulate the winners of the 2017 Women of Distinction essay contest.
