Assemblymember Amy Paulin Statement on Passage of a Law against Parking Non-Electric Vehicles in Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

“I am appreciative that my colleagues joined me in passing this common-sense legislation. Not only is taking up scarce electric car charging stations by parking in them rude, it can be a major operational and even safety problem for electric car drivers who depend on charging infrastructure just as combustion engine drivers rely on gas stations being open.

“I urge my colleagues in the Senate to pass this legislation without hesitation so that we can keep environmentally conscious drivers in New York driving cleanly and conveniently.”
