“We have a small but major victory this week, thanks to the federal court ruling the revised concealed carry gun law as unconstitutional. Let it be known that this law was rushed before us in a late-night extraordinary session back in July, as Gov. Hochul attempted a behind-closed-doors deal.

“Punishing law-abiding gun owners is not the solution to fixing our public safety crisis. We should be holding criminals who possess illegal handguns accountable, get them off the streets and stop ignoring the root of the problem. Criminals will not hesitate to enter a safe zone or restricted area if they have possession of a firearm and intent to commit a dangerous crime.”
