Deer Park, NY – Assemblywoman Michaelle C. Solages joined Governor Kathy Hochul today to announce new funding for the Village of South Floral Park to expand the South Floral Park Fire Department Training Center. The funding comes as Governor Hochul highlighted investments in volunteer fire departments across Long Island.

This $1,850,000 investment ensures South Floral Park has the infrastructure and tools to train the next generation of selfless volunteer firefighters to keep the community safe. The expanded training facility will give the South Floral Park Fire Department the state-of-the-art tools their firefighters deserve to prepare for a wide range of scenarios.

Assemblywoman Solages praised Governor Hochul for making this investment in South Floral Park, as well as Mayor Nyakya Brown and the Village Board for their advocacy on behalf of the residents of South Floral Park.
